Manoj Adlakha appointed American Express India business CEO


New Delhi, Sep 1 (IANS): Multinational financial services corporation American Express has appointed Manoj Adlakha as chief executive officer, American Express Banking Corp.(AEBC), India, a company statement said here Monday.

Adlakha will be responsible for running American Express's proprietary consumer card and prepaid businesses in India, as well as for providing leadership to the AEBC Country Executive Team.

He will continue to report to Sanjay Rishi, president, American Express South Asia. Prior to this, Adlakha led the American Express Corporate Business.

“As CEO for the India business, he will be responsible for driving the growth, transformation, and profitability in this market. For American Express, India is a strategic growth market and we are confident of further buoyant growth under Manoj's able leadership," Rishi said in the statement.
