Turkish club Trabzonspor signs three players

Ankara, Sep 2 (IANS): Turkish football club Trabzonspor has signed three players before the transfer deadline day, including Greek international Avraam Papadopoulos and Ghana starlet Abdul-Majeed Waris.

Already the busiest Turkish team during the off-season, Trabzonspor Monday night improved their squad by signing three more players, reports Xinhua.

Spartak Moscow's Waris and Guingamp's Moustapha Yatabare have been added to provide depth to Trabzonspor's attacking line, which is currently led by Oscar Cardozo.

Papadopoulos, however, could be the centre of attention, with the veteran midfielder set to become only the second Greek player to play in Turkey's top-flight league, following Theofanis Gekas.
