Traces of rain in Delhi, more Sunday


New Delhi, Sep 6 (IANS): There were traces of rainfall in some areas of the national capital Saturday. The Met office has forecast more rain Sunday.

"The skies will be generally cloudy with rain and thundershowers in some parts of the city," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Saturday's maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded two degrees below normal at 33.2 and 23.6 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The day's humidity wavered between a high and low of 95 and 66 percent, respectively.

Till 5.30 p.m., 15.7 mm of rainfall was recorded at Palam, while only traces were recorded at Safdarjung.

Sunday's maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 32 and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Friday's maximum temperature was recorded four notches below the season's average at 30.3 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 25.1 degrees Celsius, slightly below average.
