Nagpur, Sept 16: Superintending Engineer of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL-Nagpur urban centre), L M Borikar, has been suspended following a power cut in Ramgiri premises, the official residence of the Chief Minister here.

Confirming this, MSEDCL sources here on Friday said Mr Borikar's suspension order was issued by Executive Director Manohar Bagade from ''Prakashgadh'' in Mumbai and the fax in this regard was received at the MSEDCL office here at 1630 hrs.

MSEDCL, in a major crackdown on government establishments had on Monday discontinued power supply to 30 major defaulters, including Ramgiri complex, in the city.

The charges of not conducing the disconnection drive at Ramgiri complex and other government establishments properly were allegedly framed against the suspended official.
