England opt to bat against India in T20


Birmingham, Sep 7 (IANS): England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to bat against India in the only Twenty20 international of the series at Edgbaston here Sunday.

England included debutant Jason Roy in the side while Indian youngster Karn Sharma got his international cap from Virat Kohli.

Teams:

England: Jason Roy, Alex Hales, Moeen Ali, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan (captain), Jos Buttler (wicketkeeper), Ravi Bopara, Chris Woakes, James Tredwell, Steve Finn, Harry Gurney.

India: Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Virat Kohli, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain/wicketkeeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Karn Sharma, Mohit Sharma, Mohammed Shami.
