Gurgaon, Sep 9 (IANS): A 21-year-old army man has been arrested on charges of molesting a woman working at a multinational company here, police said Tuesday.
Anubhav Singh was arrested in Gujarat capital Gandhinagar Monday night for molesting the 24-year-old woman from Bhiwani in Haryana who works at a company in Gurgaon's Sector 43.
Anubhav Singh, currently posted as a soldier with a unit in Gujarat capital Gandhinagar, is from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh.
"Both started chatting on social networking websites almost a year ago and became friends," police officer Sanjeev Kumar told IANS.
The woman said in her police complaint that Anubhav Singh came to Gurgaon Aug 16, snatched her mobile phone and took away the memory chip. Since then, he has been forcing the woman to marry him.
The soldier was Tuesday presented before the court of Judicial Magistrate Sachin Yadav here and was sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
