Action against Amit Shah delayed but right, says AAP

New Delhi, Sep 10 (IANS): The AAP Wednesday described as "delayed but right" the decision of Uttar Pradesh Police to file a charge sheet against BJP president Amit Shah for his alleged hate speech during the Lok Sabha election campaign.

The Aam Aadmi Party also said the Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh allowed Shah "to vitiate the atmosphere communally in UP".

The speech was reportedly delivered by the Bharatiya Janata Party chief April 4 in Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh.

He was then booked by the local police for breaching prohibitory orders under Section 144. Shah was at that time in charge of the BJP campaign for the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh.
