Kabul, Sep 13 (IANS): At least three people were killed Saturday when militants launched a massive offensive in Afghanistan.
"Around 40 militants stormed Jani Khil district at around 6 a.m., triggering a gun battle," a police official told Xinhua.
According to the official, the victims were all militants.
"Taliban Commander Mullah Ahmad Hassan is among those killed in the clash," the official said.
There were no security personnel among the casualties and the clash lasted for around four hours, the official added.
