Mangalore, Sep 26: There is a need for the bank authorities to look in to the complaints regarding ATM, credit and debit cards and co-operate with the ombudsman to solve these problems, said banking ombudsman for Karnataka K R Ananda.
He was speaking at the meeting of bank employees at the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry held here on Monday September 25. He expressed concern that a majority of the complaints received from customers are with regard to ATM, credit and debit cards services.
He said that the bank services are out of reach of nearly 64 per cent of the population. The no frill accounts will make people approach the bank for more services and increase the number of customers.
Among those present were Syndicate Bank deputy general manager K U Shanbag and State Bank of India regional assistant general manager S Eswaran.
