Hot, sunny day in Delhi, light rain likely Wednesday


New Delhi, Sep 16 (IANS): The national capital experienced a hot, sunny Tuesday as the maximum temperature settled a notch above the season's average at 34.6 degrees Celsius. Light rain is expected Wednesday, the Met department said.

"The sky will be partly cloudy tomorrow (Wednesday) and some parts of the city may experience light rain and dust storms," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Wednesday's maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 35 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Tuesday morning was partly cloudy and the minimum temperature was recorded a degree above the season's average of 26 degrees Celsius.

The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 87 percent.

Monday was sunny with the maximum temperature settling a notch above the season's average at 34.9 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled three notches below average at 22.5 degrees Celsius.
