Six killed in Odisha road accident


Bhubaneswar, Sep 17 (IANS): Six members of a family, four of them women, were killed when their multi-utility vehicle hit a roadside tree in Odisha's Rayagada district Wednesday, police said.

One person was seriously injured in the accident that took place near Bhatapura village, about 400 km from here around 1 a.m., police official H.K. Padhi told IANS.

The family was returning to Balimela from Phulbani. The driver seems to have lost control over the vehicle and it hit the tree, he said.
