Legal action against organisation without panels to address sexual harassment


New Delhi, Sep 17 (IANS): Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi Wednesday said legal action will be taken against organisations which do not have committees to address sexual harassment at the workplace.

"Any organisation which does not have a committee on sexual harassment at the workplace will have to face legal action," Gandhi said Wednesday at a press conference, one in a series held by various ministries on the Narendra Modi government completing 100 days in office.

The minister was replying to a question on several organisations a committee to address sexual harassment at the workplace.
