IndiGo makes $2.6 bn aircraft finance deal with ICBC


New Delhi, Sep 17 (IANS): Budget passenger carrier IndiGo Wednesday entered into an agreement with Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) for financing more than 30 new aircraft in its fleet for around $2.6 billion.

According to the company, it signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ICBC for financing aircraft through sale and lease back or commercial lending.

Currently, IndiGo holds the largest passenger share in the Indian market at 32.6 percent.
