15 confirmed killed in Nigeria suicide bomb attack


Abuja, Sep 18 (IANS) At least 15 people have been confirmed killed in a suicide bombing attack in Nigeria.

Nigerian Commissioner of Police Aderinle Shinaba confirmed the incident at the Federal College of Education after visiting the attack site Wednesday, Xinhua reported.

Shinaba said that 34 people, mostly students and lecturers, were injured in the attack.

He said two suicide bombers had exchanged gunfire with some security men before arriving at the college.

"After the exchange of gunfire, they reached the college lecture theatre and detonated two explosives. There was another insurgent who was carrying an AK-47 rifle and explosives," Shinaba added.
