Modi hopes for peace at border with China


New Delhi, Sep 18 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday called for peace at the border with China following talks with visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping here.

Modi said that there should be "mutual trust" between the two neighbouring countries.

He said that he gives "importance and priority to the relations with China".

Modi described China as India's biggest neighbour and said it has a role in nation-building and foreign policy.
