Bhushan 'won't name' whistleblower in CBI chief controversy

New Delhi, Sep 18 (Agencies): Lawyer-activist Prashant Bhushan, who levelled allegations against CBI director Ranjit Sinha, refused to reveal the name of the whistleblower who provided him the necessary documents, PTI reported on Thursday.

Bhushan's NGO Centre for Public Interest Litigation (CPIL) told the court that the life of the whistleblower will be in danger if his/her name is revealed.

The allegations against the CBI director can be verified by examining the documents and guards who had manned his official residence, he said.

Last week the SC had asked Bhushan to submit in a sealed envelope the name of the source who provided him the guest list at the CBI director's residence. Bhushan in his petition alleged that the guest list showed that the CBI chief frequently met the accused in the 2G and coal scams at his residence, and hence he should not be in charge of the probe.

Sinha said that 90% of the entries in the guest list were forged and had appealed to the court to ask Bhushan to name the person who provided him the guest list.

Reluctance to disclose whistleblower's name in a sealed cover to the Apex Court with a futile reason itself prove beyond reasonable doubt that Bhushan's allegation is a big FEKU and/or indirectly prove that Bhushan don't have faith in NDA government's ability to provide adequate security to the whistleblower.

    Hello, why NDA comes here.?
You guys have no other business than politicizing/communalizing the issues.
This case is between Court/CBI/Prshant Bhushan, don't bring UPA/NDA here.
