Udupi-Kollur, Sep 29: Cricketer Anil Kumble who performed Shatachandika Yaga at Kollur Temple on Monday was honoured by the temple management committee.
The spinner performed Athravasheersha, Srisukta durgasukta, gayatrihavana and rudrahoma on Wednesday evening under Chaturvedi Shankaranarayan Vaman Bhat.
His wife Chetana Kumble also accompanied him. The couple also obtained blessings from the Nanjangod Balakrishnanand Swamiji who is on a Chaturmasya Vruta for three months.
The temple managing committee bid farewell to Kumble after which he left to Bangalore on Thursday, Sep 28.
