Udupi, Sep 29: These days political parties in both Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts are busy staging protest rallies. However, most of the rallies are not for the good of people but mostly to gain political mileage and depict their opposite party week.
This was the same case with the Congress-led protest in the town on Friday September 29 morning. Led by former MLA U R Sabhapati, the party worker protested against the Town Council which is ruled by BJP. They accused BJP of misusing the power and not providing efficient administration.
The party worker took out a rally in the city and had the protest meet in front of the Town Council office. Congress leader Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, Diwakar Kunder, Narasimha Murthy, and Murali Shetty of Youth Congress etc were also present during the protest rally.
