Rajasthan Police hunt for minister's dog

Jaipur, Sep 22 (IANS): A hunt is on in full swing to trace a Rajasthan minister's missing dog.

Police deputed a constable to look for the dog, which is of a foreign breed. The dog's pictures were also sent to nearby police stations for help.

"A complaint was lodged by Suresh Kumar, an employee in the minister's bungalow number 48 in the city's Civil Lines area, that a dog has gone missing from Saturday morning," a police official in the Sodala police station told IANS Monday on the condition of anonymity.

State Medical and Health Minister Rajendra Singh Rathore lives in the bungalow.

Preliminary inquiry conducted by police has revealed that an unidentified person, who found the dog roaming on the road, might have taken it with him.

The opposition Congress criticised the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party for deploying police to find a minister's missing dog.
