Sunny Monday in Delhi, Tuesday to be similar


New Delhi, Sep 22 (IANS): It was a sunny and warm Monday in Delhi as the maximum temperature settled two notches above the season's average at 35.9 degrees Celsius. The Met Office has forecast similar weather Tuesday.

"The sky will remain clear tomorrow (Tuesday) and the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 36 and 26 degrees Celsius," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

Monday morning was sunny but cool winds ensured the weather remained pleasant.

The minimum temperature was a notch above the season's average at 25 degrees Celsius. The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 80 percent.

Sunday's maximum temperature was recorded two notches above the season's average at 36 degrees Celsius while the minimum settled at 25.2 degrees Celsius, slightly above average.
