Rons Bantwal for Daijiworld News Network - Mumbai

Mumbai, Sep 2: The annual general meeting of the Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industries was held at Hotel Kohinoor Continental at Andheri (East) here, on Saturday September 30.



State medical and education minister Suresh Shetty was the guest of honour. Chamber president Vincent Mathias presided over the programme. Vice-president John D'Silva, Albert W D'Souza, Henry Lobo, John Mathew, William Sequeira, Agnello Rajesh Athaide, Johnson Terettil and others were present on the dais.



New directors were elected on the occasion, with advocate Pius Vas as election officer. Among the new directors are Johnson Terettil, Agnello Rajesh Athaide, Augustine G Fernandes, Anthony Sequeira and William Sequeira. Joseph Mendonca was appointed internal auditor.


Games and entertainment activities were conducted for lady members. Later, a get-together was organized in which Auxiliary Bishop Agnello Gracias of Mumbai, was present as the guest of honour. Fr Trevor Miranda( social work), Julius F Rebeiro IPS (public service), and Glen Saldanha (entrepreneurship) were felicitated with the Top Achiever -2005 award, constituted by the Chamber.


New president of the Mumbai regional Women's Congress Janet Lawrence D'Souza was also felicitated on the occasion.
