Dabur gets permission to expand plant in Himachal


Shimla, Sep 23 (IANS): Himachal Pradesh Tuesday approved an expansion proposal of Dabur India at its plant in industrial hub Baddi, an official said.

The state-level single window clearance and monitoring authority, headed by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, approved Dabur's proposal to invest Rs.4,072.64 lakh to expand production capacity of Hajmola and Chywanprash, a government spokesperson told IANS.

Besides Dabur, the single window clearance authority cleared 10 expansion proposals of the existing units.

It also cleared four new industrial proposals.

In total, investment proposals of Rs.22,895.74 lakh were cleared, said the spokesperson.

The other companies whose expansion proposals were cleared included that of Lectrix Motors Ltd to invest Rs.1,675 lakh, and Jupiter Solar Power Ltd to put in Rs.3,987.59 lakh.
