Relief material distributed among Kashmir flood victims


Jammu, Sep 23 (IANS): The Jammu and Kashmir government Tuesday distributed relief material to over 200 flood-affected people at Dera Baba in Reasi district.

Minister of State for Cooperatives Manohar Lal Sharma distributed the relief material.

The material including biscuits, flour, rice, pulses, tents and medicines was provided by Delhi-based NGOs.

The minister accompanied by MLC Jugal Kishore Sharma and deputy district magistrate of Reasi, Shabir Ahmad Bhatt, took stock of the relief measures.

The minister interacted with the locals and urged people to help officials in accurate assessment of damage to life, crops and property.
