Four killed in UP road accident


Lucknow, Sep 24 (IANS): Four people, including two women, were killed early Wednesday in Gonda, 115 km from here, when the car they were travelling in rammed into a truck parked on the road, police said.

Police said those killed have been identified as Avinash, Rajesh, Meera and Sunita.

They were returning from Lucknow after medical check up of a family member. At around 4 a.m. when they were crossing the Raja Sagara area, the car rammed into the parked truck, which was loaded with coal.

Police said the condition of the driver is very critical while the bodies have been sent for post-mortem. The truck driver and cleaner fled after the accident.
