Mangalore, Oct 5: The thieves who broke open into the National Insurance branch in the Central Market area here have decamped with Rs 33,000 in cash on Tuesday October 4.

The thieves said to have broken the locks of the front door and made their way into the office in the small hours of Wednesday.  They have ransacked the entire office.  Record books, receipts have been thrown on the ground. Cupboards in the office too have been broken in search of valuables.

Finally they have decamped with Rs 33,372 in cash which was there in a petty cash box.  Padma Prakash Rao, the assistant manager has filed a complaint with the Bunder police in this regard.
