Mangalore, Oct 5: "Conversion and terrorism have been the curse for our country in recent times.  Unless we suppress these, Hindus will soon become minority community in the country," said Shri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Udupi Pejawar Math.

He was speaking at the 'Santa Sammilana' programme organized by Shri Guruji Birth Centenary Committee at Balasamrakshana Centre at Kuttar near here on Wednesday October 4.

He further said that while refugees from Bangladesh are a menace in Assam, Nagaland is being Christianized by missionaries.  "Hindus are in a danger of losing their identity in this part of our country.  Unless we take some measures to meet these problems, we may land up as minority community of the country in another 200 years," he opined.

N Krishnappa in his keynote address said that if the economically poor sections of the society are economically empowered, then conversion could well be avoided.

Shri Ramanand Swamiji of Shri Kshetra Kolya, Shri Poorna Kamananda Swamiji of Ramakrishna Math, Shir Viviktanand Saraswati Swamiji of Chinmaya Mission, Kasargod, Yogishareshwara Narendranath Swamiji of Marakada, Erya Lakshminarayan Alva, Nalin Kumar Kateel, Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, Shivanand Prabhu and others were present on the occasion.
