Report and pics - Wilson D'Souza Shirva (GA)

Udupi, Oct 5: The newly-constructed building of Do Bosco English Medium School at Shirva near here was inaugurated on Tuesday October 4.

Former correspondent of the school Fr Sylvester D'Souza blessed and inaugurated the new building.  Fr Wilson V D'Souza, secretary, Catholic Board of Education (CBE) presided over the inaugural function. Fr Valerian Pinto, correspondent, Gretta Noronha, headmistress and Vivian Fernandes, the school pupil leader were also present on the occasion.

Norbert Machado, vice-president of Shirva parish council, Felix Monteiro of Fr Muller Hospital, Mangalore, Fr John Barboza, principal, St Mary's College, Shirva, Felix Andrade, principal, St Mary's Junior College, Shirva, Irene Rodrigues, headmistress of Don Bosco English Medium School, Shirva and Florine Rodrigues were the chief guests on the occasion.

About 250 students and more than 200 parents participated in the grand function.
