Moodbidri, Oct 5: Shivkumar accused of killing his fellow driver Kuldeep Singh (35) in the Southern Beedi premises at Alangar near here has now been remanded to 15 days of judicial custody by a local court.

As reported earlier, Shivkumar had killed Kuldeep Singh on Monday October 2 night.  Both of them hailed from Madhya Pradesh.  They were working for a same company which used to supply beedi leaves to Southern Beedis of Alangar.

Shivkumar was apparently not happy with Kuldeep with regard to some money matters, specially with regard to submitting of account of the journey expences.  Accordingly he had asked about this with Kuldeep on Monday evening.  Kuldeep has his own version in this regard.  This led to verbal brawl between the two.  At this point, Shivkumar is said to have hit Kuldeep with an iron rod.  As a result, Kuldeep sustained serious injuries and died soon.

Though Shivkumar later tried to escape, he was arrested by the police.  He was produced before the court on Tuesday October 3, which in turn remanded him to judicial custody.
