Mangalore, Oct 6: Shree Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Law College and Centre for Post Graduate Studies in Law will conduct an All India moot court competition on Friday and Saturday, B K Ravindra, principal of the college has said in a press release.

The moot court competition, which is being held for the third year, will see participants from 30 colleges from all over the country.

The teams will have to prepare both written and oral arguments, that would be heard by judges of local courts and leading legal luminaries in the preliminary rounds, and by high court judges in the finals. The winning team will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 20,000.

Justice Subhash B Adi, Judge, High Court of Karnataka will inaugurate the competition. Sadashiva Reddy, Chairman, Karnataka State Bar Council will preside over the inaugural function.

Arrangements have been made for the people to watch the proceedings on both days, said Dr Ravindra. Students from participating colleges will be taken on a sight seeing trip to Dharmasthala, he added.
