New Delhi, Sep 27 (IANS): World body FIFA's secretary general Jerome Valcke will be visiting India for the second time in two years next month to provide technical and administrative inputs to the All India Football Federation (AIFF) regarding hosting of the Under-17 World Cup in 2017.
“Valcke will be visiting Delhi from Oct 14-16. His visit is a very significant one as it will further strengthen AIFF's ties with FIFA. We are eagerly waiting to meet him again,” Kushal Das, AIFF general secretary said in a statement Saturday.
"During his last visit to the country in Sep 2012, Valcke had stressed on India bidding for the 2017 Under-17 World Cup. With the technical and the administrative aspects of the tournament taking shape, we look forward to his inputs which will guide us in successfully hosting the mega event,” Das added.
