US drone strike kills two in Pakistan


Islamabad, Sep 28 (IANS): At least two people were killed and four injured in a US drone attack in Pakistan Sunday, a media report said.

An unmanned aircraft fired two missiles at a vehicle in Wana area of South Waziristan Agency in northwest Pakistan, killing two and injuring four others, Geo TV quoted sources as saying.

Identities of the dead and the injured were yet to be ascertained.

The attack is the ninth of its kind in Pakistan and the first in South Waziristan this year.

A total 72 people have been killed and several others injured in the US drone strikes in tribal areas of Pakistan this year.
