Indian woman charged with fraud in Singapore


Singapore, Oct 1 (IANS): An Indian origin woman in Singapore Wednesday was charged with misappropriating a whopping $1.7 million from her former employer.

Satwant Kaur during her tenure as secretary at Redstar Marine Consultants allegedly pocketed cheques of $35,070 and $371,619 denomination from the company, the Straits Times reported.

The offences took place between April 2005 and August 2012.

Hearing in this case has been adjourned for four weeks.
