Indian women's sepaktakraw team bows out of Asiad


Incheon, Oct 1 (IANS): The Indian women's sepaktakraw team bowed out of the 17th Asian Games with their third straight defeat, a 0-2 loss to China, in their final Group A match at the Bucheon Gymnasium here Wednesday.

India surrendered meekly, going down 9-21, 7-21 in 26 minutes, to finish their campaign at the bottom of their group.

In their previous two group matches, India had lost 12-21, 13-21 to Indonesia before bowing 16-21, 14-21 to Laos.

China take on South Korea while Thailand face Indonesia in the semi-finals Thursday.
