Navarathri festival celebrations in Uma Maheshwari temple

Mumbai, Oct 4: Navarathri festival was celebrated in Uma Maheshwari temple in Jerimeri as every year. Punyaha, Navaka Prathiste, Panchamratha Navaka Abhisheka, Durgastami, Durga Homa, Bhajans, Mahapooje and so on were performed on Thursday October 2 as part of the celebrations.

Temple management trustee B K Sheena and Lalitha Sheena Poojary guided the celebrations. Mahaganapathi, Subrahmanya and Uma Maheshwari were adored. BSKB Association Mumbai president Dr Suresh S Rao who was specially present during the celebrations was honored by presenting Prasada.

Chief temple priest Srinivas N Udupa specially offered Pooja to Uma Maheshwari Devi and held Arathi. Saritha, Nisha, Nikhitha, Sheena and family, Jayakar Shetty, Ashok Shetty, Jaya Poojary (director of Jazz group of companies), Thonse Sanjiva Poojary, Ravindra A Amin and others were present.

Rajesh Bhat held Punyaha, Navaka Prathiste, Panchamratha Navaka Abhisheka, Ghatasthapana and distributed Theertha Prasada. Uma Maheshwari Bhajana Mandali performed Bhajans.

Yaga, Havana, afternoon Pooja, Night Pooja, Bhajans and Mahapooja, Durga Homa on the day of Vijaya Dashami, Maha Mangalarathi and distribution of Mahaprasada and Annasantarpane were held.
