Nine die in trucks' collision in Mexico

Mexico City, Oct 7 (IANS) At least nine people, including two minors, were killed and 11 others injured Monday when two pickup trucks collided in Mexico's northeastern state of San Luis Potosi, official sources said.

The accident took place around 7.30 a.m. on a highway between the towns of Villa Juarez and Cerritos, the state Public Security Secretariat said on Twitter.

The crash between a white Ford pickup and a red Ford Ranger could have been caused by thick fog that blanketed the highway and excessive speed, Xinhua reported.

The injured were taken to a hospital in the city of Rioverde.
