Two more bodies found at Japan volcano site

Tokyo, Oct 7 (IANS): The recovery of two more bodies Tuesday has taken up the toll following Japan's Mount Ontake volcanic eruption to 53.

The rescue team resumed search operation after it was suspended Sunday due to the approach of a powerful typhoon, Kyodo News reported.

Mount Ontake erupted Sep 27, killing 51 hikers and leaving 12 missing in the country's worst volcanic disaster.

Many of the victims were apparently struck by flying rocks.
