Mumbai,Oct 14: In an exclusive interview to NDTV, Aamir Khan has openly talked about why despite the pesticide controversy he consciously chose to stick to endorsing coke.

NDTV:  When in Gujarat hoardings were pulled down, the three brands you endorse Titan, Toyota and Coke, stood by you.

Aamir Khan: I expect them to stand by me if I'm in the right". If it was something wrong then I would not expect it and yes, I am aware of what I'm getting into when I get into a relationship with a brand and I will reciprocates it and I also feel a sense of loyalty for them.

NDTV:  Is that why you chose to make a personal appeal for coke after the pesticide controversy ?

Aamir Khan: It was actually not a personal appeal no not a personal appeal. I did the ad because I personally believe in the product. I personally gave it for a lab check. Coke did its own but I did my own and what I've said in the ad I stand by, there is no confusion in my mind.

NDTV:  So you don't have a hassle if your kids consume cola?

Aamir Khan: Absolutely no problem, If you ask is cola or any carbonated drink a healthy drink? Of course not. But will it harm my kids? No, it won't and sometimes you have things just for enjoyment. Of course in moderation they can't do it 24 hours a day."
