Two months later, Jaswant Singh still in coma

New Delhi, Oct 8 (IANS): Two months since former union minister Jaswant Singh was hospitalised with a head injury, the former BJP leader has shown no improvement in his health and continues to remain in coma, doctors said.

"His (Singh) condition has not improved and he is still in coma. A team of doctors is observing him," a senior doctor at the Army Hospital (Research and Referral) told IANS here.

"All medical care is being given, but he is not responding well," added the doctor.

According to the doctor, Jaswant Singh is being given total parenteral nutrition (TPN) which delivers nutrients intravenously when a patient is unable to eat on his/her own.

The 76-year-old leader was admitted to the hospital Aug 8 in critical condition after his family found him lying on the floor of his house in an unconscious state.
