Beltangady, Oct 14: The court has extended the judicial custody of three persons who are prime accused in the Vidyadhar murder case has been extended on Friday October 13.
Rayi gram panchayat member Vidyadhar Jain was hacked to death by a group of persons at Kannadikatte near Padangadi here on August 28. Murder was the result of personal rivalry between Hrishikesh Jain and Vidyadhar. The police had registered case against Hrishikesh Jain, Vitesh, Satish, Pradeep Kumar, Prahsanth, Naveen Shetty and Prashanth.
Though the accused had fled the place, the police had managed to arrest Pradeep Kumar, Vitesh and Prashanth in Bangalore. They were remanded to judicial custody by the court. But their judicial custody was extended by the court on Friday. The police are yet to nab the other accused.
