Mumbai, Oct 10: Billawara Association, Mumbai held a meeting at Billawara Bhavan hall at Santacruz east on Sunday evening, Oct 5 to pay homage to the soul of Y Nagesh who passed away recently. Y Nagesh was the senior member and honorary president of Billavara Association, Mumbai and former director of Bharath Bank.
In the programme presided over by Association president Nithyananda D Kotian, Association honorary president and Bharath Bank Executive president Jaya C Suvarna offered floral tribute to the picture of late Y Nagesh.
Explaining his relationship with Y Nagesh, Jaya Suvarna lamented that the far sighted thinker, an asset of Billawas is no more. His social service is unique and worth imitating. The loss due to his absence cannot be made good. His contribution to the success of Bharath bank is immence, he said.
Karnataka minister of urban development and Udupi district in charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake and Minister of youth and fisheries and Chickmagalur district in charge minister K Abhayachandra Jain offered their homage during the condolence meeting.
Association mouthpiece Akshaya monthly magazine honorary editor M B Kukyan, Bharath bank directors Damodar Kunder, C T Salian, former director L V Amin, Senior author Dr Sunitha M Shetty, Vidyadayini Sabha Chitrapu's K M Kotian, M N Karkera, K M Mabian, advocate J K Karkera, Dr Prabhakar Shetty, B Sadananda Putran, Ashok S Suvarna, Shivaram Kotian Kaleena, Dayananda Mattu and Raghava Kunder spoke and expressed their condolences.
Association office bearers Chandrashekar S Poojary, Jyothi K Suvarna, Bhaskar V Bangera, Shanker D Poojary, Dhanajay S Kotian, Mahesh C Poojary, Harish G Salian, Bharath Bank's former Executive President Vasudev R Kotian, heads of sub committees and local committees expressed their condolences during the meeting.
