Super-speciality hospital to come up in Lucknow


Lucknow, Oct 11 (IANS) Medanta will open a super-speciality hospital here, officials said Saturday.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will lay the foundation stone for the 1,000 bed hospital, which would be known as 'Medanta Avadh', Oct 15.

The hospital will come up on a 12 acre land on the Sultanpur road and would have a 300 bed intensive care unit (ICU) as well as 30 ultra-modern operation theatres.

Medanta Group chairman Naresh Trehan will be present at the foundation laying function, an official told IANS.

The hospital is set to have advanced equipments and robotic surgical procedures will also be carried out .

The Medanta management has also approved setting up of Unani and Ayurvedic medical centres at the medical facility.
