Almere (Netherlands), Oct 11 (IANS) Indian shuttler Ajay Jayaram was taken the distance before overcoming Indonesian Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka to enter the men's singles semi-finals of the $50,000 Dutch Open Grand Prix here.
The 13th seeded Indian, who returned to the circuit after a seven-month injury layoff in August, defeated the third seeded Rumbaka 9-11, 9-11, 11-6, 11-7, 11-5 in a 50-minute quarter-final at the Topsportcentrum Almere late Friday.
With the win, Jayaram levelled their head-to-head to two-all.
The Mumbaikar will next take on top seed Rajiv Ouseph of England Saturday.
