Quake hits Indonesia: USGS


Hong Kong, Oct 14 (IANS) An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted 224km northwest of Saumlaki town in Indonesia Monday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The temblor occurred at 10.05 p.m. (22:05 GMT) Monday, Xinhua reported citing USGS.

The epicenter, with a depth of 153.69 km, was initially determined to be at 6.7053 degrees south latitude and 129.7153 degrees east longitude.
