Samsung launches Note 4, priced at Rs.58,300


New Delhi, Oct 14 (IANS): Electronics major Samsung Tuesday expanded its flagship Galaxy Note series with the launch of the new Galaxy Note 4, priced at Rs.58,300.

“The new device exhibits people-inspired innovation with its unique combination of an enhanced S Pen, large and vivid display and superior productivity features to provide the most refined Galaxy experience to our customers," said Asim Warsi, vice president, mobile and information technology (IT), Samsung India.

"Samsung has significantly contributed to the wearable industry by taking the lead in offering unique smart wearables and the launch of Gear S will further set a new standard in the mobile communication space.”

According to the company, the new product features a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display which reproduces clear and vivid images with deep contrast and better viewing angles.

The Note 4 also comes with an advanced multi-window feature which allows the users to choose the mode in which they want to access applications in full, split or pop-up screens.

The Galaxy Note 4 sports a 16 megapixel rear-facing camera featuring a Smart Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) that counter-balances camera shake and automatically extends exposure time in dark settings.

In addition, there is a 3.7 megapixel front-facing camera with an f1.9 aperture offers a default 90 degree shooting.

In terms of accessories, the company launched 'S Pen' which perfectly emulates writing on paper with a fountain or calligraphy pen.

Other accessories include Gear S and Gear Circle.

The company also launched its rewards programme which, it said, is created to engage and reward Samsung Galaxy users.

The programme offers rewards on purchase of chosen devices such as Note 4 and Alpha in addition to customised upgrade incentives and lifestyle privileges.
