President, PM wish Abdul Kalam on his birthday

New Delhi, Oct 15 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday wished former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on his birthday.

Extending greetings and best wishes, Mukherjee said: "May the almighty bless you with happiness, good health and many more years of continued dedicated service to our country."

The president is on a five-day visit to Norway and Finland since Oct 12.

Modi said: "Birthday greetings to our former president Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. May he be blessed with good health and a long life."

Kalam was born in 1931 at Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu.
