Gurgaon deputy mayor's son kidnapped: Police


Gurgaon, Oct 20 (IANS): The 17-year-old son of Gurgaon's deputy mayor Parminder Kataria is believed to have been kidnapped, police said here Monday.

Amit Kumar, a class 11 student, went missing from the city Oct 15 while he was going for tuition.

Kataria told police that he has not received any ransom call. Police, however, registered a case of kidnapping.

"A case of kidnapping has been registered at Sector 5 police station after the family failed to locate him," a police officer told IANS.

The Bharatiya Janata Party runs the 35-member Municipal Corporation Gurgaon.
