Karkala, Oct 23: A salesman was killed after being hit by a tempo near Hosmar here on Monday October 23 morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ratnakar Jain, a native of Shirlalu near here. He was living in a rented house at Hosmar. He used to prepare sweets in his house and later sell them at Hosmar and nearby areas.
On Monday morning, he was on his way when a tempo coming to Hosmar from Naravi collided with his mobike. As a result he sustained serious injuries and died. He is survived by wife and two children.
Karkala rural police have registered a case in this regard.
