3 Pakistan policemen arrested for looting a superstore


Islamabad, Oct 24 (IANS): Three policemen were arrested in Pakistan Friday for allegedly looting a superstore recently, media eported.

The policemen broke into a superstore located on 26 Street in defence area of Karachi and took away the store locker along with scratch cards worth Pakistani Rs.92,000 ($8,936), Geo TV reported.

The three policemen identified with the help of CCTV footage are sub-inspector Hamza, head constable Mazhar and constable Ilyas. The trio was part of the Darakhshan police station patrolling team.

They carried out the break-in with the help of an aide and escaped with the store items in a police van.

Police recovered the looted material along with Pakistani Rs.250,000 from them.

A case was also registered against them.
