Kashmir guerrilla hideout busted


Srinagar, Oct 24 (IANS): Security forces Friday busted a guerrilla hideout in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir besides recovering a cache of arms and ammunition.

A police statement said here: "Kupwara police and 28 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), in a joint operation, busted a militant hideout in a forest area of Lolab (Kupwara) this afternoon and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition.

"During the search, a militant hideout was busted and arms and ammunition, including one AK 56 rifle, five AK magazines, 1,000 AK rounds, one UBGL, two UBGL grenades, four pistols, four pistol magazines, 32 pistol rounds and 21 grenades were recovered from the hideout."
