Mangalore, Oct 27: "Mhaan Monis Ek Mulakhat" programme sponsored by Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy which was to be held on Sunday October 8, will now be held on Sunday Oct 29 at Kumbla near Kasargod.
The programme was postponed following curfew in and around the city. A new schedule was fixed by the academy recently and was announced in a press release. Accordingly, the programme will be held in the premises of St Monica's Church premises.
Senior Konkani writer from Bela, Stany Crasta and dasa sankeertana artiste from Kasargod Babuji Bhat will be honoured on the occasion. Bela parish priest Basil Vas will be the chief guest while M Jayant Kini will be the guest of honour on the occasion. Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy president Eric Ozario would preside over.
A poetry session "Kavita Sobhann" will be held at the end of the programme. The poetry session will be moderated by noted Konkani poet Titus Noronha. Mandd Sobhann group will hold 'Konkani Darshan' programme on the same occasion.
